Life Update

I'm so excited to announce that this weekend is opening for gun season! I'm so excited to get out and take my little sister. I got my deer earlier this year so I really hope she can get hers! You got it Bug!!

Here is an update on my life~

Injuries? As many of you know, in June I had fallen and hurt my back and elbow pretty bad. After X-Rays on my back we found out that I have pulling on my spine which is making it curve. So I need to stretch a lot to release the tension on my spine. As for my elbow I was diagnosed with Bursitis. We had X-Rays done too but they came back normal. It has been 4 ½ months and my elbow is still messed up. There is still swelling and pain. The assumption now is that I have pulled or tore a tendon. It just sucks because I constantly use my arms at both jobs and so I’m not giving my elbow time to heal. Which means the healing process is going to be longer.

Well I have 4 ½ weeks of class then final week! So excited for Christmas break! But school is my focus right now. I have 4 projects, 2 papers, 1 manuscript, 2 presentations, and 5 tests in that short 4 weeks. SOMEONE HELP ME! It’s crazy to think that I’m going into my second semester of my third year already. Time sure has flown by.

So other than school, some exciting new things have been happening around here. First, I got a second job! I’m coaching figure skating in Dubuque Iowa. 13 years of skating has really impacted my life and I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue coaching. Unfortunately, I’m not sure where I’ll be after December of 2019. But I will forever remember and make the best time out of DFSA.

Secondly, my photography business is going really well! I have been booked 3 weekends out of the last 4. All with family photoshoots. Can’t believe that this is taking off like it is. Some big changes and fun shoots coming up soon. Have my friends Engagement pictures (Winter and Spring), Senior pictures, Individual pictures, and more Families. I’m honored to be providing memories for people in my area and other areas. It is a passion of mine and I can’t wait to continue to grow.

Thirdly, I turned 21. It was a very fun and low key night. Truth is, yep I’m legal but I just don’t drink. Once in a while I will have one but that’s it. And I’m perfectly fine with it. I’d rather spend my nights cuddled up on the couch with Lee or sitting at Jons by the fire.

So all the time I get asked “How are you and Lee doing?” so I thought I’d let you all know. So in May we moved into an apartment together. We have been truly blessed with all the support and help from our friends and family. They have contributed so much to us and we appreciate it tremendously. Living together has helped us grow as a couple. We have had our arguments but we have also worked through them. We have gone through rough times but we are working through it. The one thing that hasn’t changed (but has gotten stronger) is our love for each other. Love needs to come from both partners. You need to be willing to take care of and sacrifice for your partner. Lee does just that for me. He rubs my back when I’m not feeling well, lets me rest in the bath tub, and lets me snuggle up on his chest when I’m feeling down. Lately our big thing has been communication. It’s something that we are trying to incorporate into our daily lives. We like to spend a few minutes before bed just talking about whatever is on our minds. We tend to go off on tangents but it always ends with snuggles.
So that is where I'm at right now. Just living life and preparing for the future. Next post coming soon! Maybe around Thanksgiving to talk about hunting and my time with family.
