2017 Recap

In looking back on 2017, So many things had happened. Some good, great, bad and sad, but in all this year was definitely one to remember!

So lets start with Jan 1st 2017. Lee and I decided to stop drinking soda. This was going to be hard for both of us with our love for Dr. Pepper. But hey! we did it! I'm so proud of both of us for getting that unhealthy habit out of our lives. In January we also ended up In a car accident. Some how a guy in a car did not see Lee's truck and smashed right into us. Luckily no one got hurt. It was definitely not the start of the year we wanted.

This last year we went to numerous truck/tractor pulls, and Monster truck shows. I can't even remember where they all were there was so many. They were all so much fun! I'm so glad I'm with someone who loves the same things that I do!

We also went on a trip to Alabama! This trip was so much fun. It was Lee and I and then two of my friends. I wouldn't of wanted anyone else to spend some time down south with. We drove 17 hours straight, only stopping for gas and breakfast. It was a cramped ride. Down there was absolutely beautiful. I would go back in a heartbeat. We explored the beach, USS Alabama, Alligator Alley, Horseback riding, Pensacola FL, Homemade Ice cream, and many more.

At the end of May, Lee and I moved in with each other. I has been wonderful. Though we have our times, overall everything has gone so well. Its hard now that I actually have to track my money and spending because I have rent, electric, food, and gas/repairs for my car, instead of just paying to put gas in my car like my first two years of school. Living together has been so good for our relationship. We are both more comfortable around each other and are working on becoming a stronger couple. The downside of living together is that we both work a lot and go to school full time. Sometimes it gets hard to spend quality time together and make sure that chores are getting done around the apartment.

Summer of 2017 consisted of working full time, many nights grilling out, spending time with family on our annual vacation, growing a garden, busting my elbow, swimming, farmers markets, and so much more. I also got to go to Family Night for the Green Bay Packers! I got to be feet away from so many players as they left and even high fived one! I also got to go to a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band concert. I was so excited and had so much fun!

This fall has been a very busy one. First thing first, my Great Aunt had passes away. That was so sad for our family. She was a huge part of my childhood. Miss you! In the summer I was able to FINALLY go through hunters safety, I had been doing the mentor hunt since I was 14 or so. In September I got my very first deer! It was a massive doe! I was so excited! I got it with a crop damage tag. Fall semester was a busy one. I got a second job coaching figure skating in Dubuque Iowa. It has been an amazing experience and I can't wait to continue coaching through the rest of my time in Platteville. This semester I had 15 credits and all of them were psych classes or classes required for graduation through the psych department. I had two classes that were really challenging for me, but I passed all my classes!!! I'm so happy! My GPA has also gone up! I'm looking forward to next semester. This fall I also turned 21! I'm not much of a drinker but it was definitely a good time though.

So as we wind down in the year I just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to 2018. 2018 will hold a lot of fun for not only me but for my relationship. Here are some of my 2018 plans!
