His name is Lee

On October 27th 2016, a man named Lee asked me out. In September we had started talking and I most definitely tried too hard to get him. I was actually scaring him away. Luckly he took a chance and got me away from my so called "friends" to watch a game of football. I think after that night he knew I wasn't the girl I pretended to be.

It didn't take long and I was constantly at his place. I can't say my roommates were all to great besides Emily. But she left after just a few short months to be closer to home. Miss her. Anyway it got to the point were I was there almost everyday.

In March of 2017 we went on a major trip together. Although we had our moment of argument, it was an amazing trip. I set up a day trip for us to go to Pensacola and go horseback riding. It was honestly the best trip ever. We walked around down town and then got Sonic. It was an amazing date. That trip brought us so close and definitely challenges us as a couple. I can't wait for our next one!

At the end of May we got an apartment together. surprisingly my parents were ok with it and very supportive. But I did have to promise my dad no babies for at least 10 years lol. Living together has been amazing! Although we have our messy days, grumpy days, and tired days, we always find a way to make each other laugh. I can't believe that we took this step and how soon we did, but I'm so glad we did. I love you.

August, September, October, were months that have had its rough times. If anything they made our relationship stronger though. In August Lee took me to Lambeau for the first time! It was truly amazing. But that trip had a set back. (As requested that no details are said to anyone but our mothers) Lee ended up having low blood sugar the next morning. It terrified me. Luckly I had his friend and cousin with us to give me a big hug once everything got worked out. But that was just the beginning. Over the next few weeks his blood sugar kept dropping in his sleep. One morning in particular was the scariest for me. I'm so glad that my mom was awake and was able to walk me through everything. Because of that day I now know how to run his meter (even though it wasn't that hard to run, I was just so scared I couldn't do it without help) and get his blood sugar up. It has happened a few times after that and again I was there to help him. In getting into this relationship I didn't know he was diabetic until he told me after we watched the football game back in 2016. I never knew that I could be such an important part of his life a year later. I often think about what would have happened if we weren't living together or if I wasn't part of his life. I'm so thankful that I grew up around people in the medical field and I'm so thankful that I was put into Lees life. He truly means everything to me and I'm not sure I could handle it if anything happened to him. From all of this I have become somewhat of an annoying girlfriend, always asking if he ate enough before bed. But its only because I love him.

Now looking at the future... I hope to one day marry this man. But aside from that we have a lot of things happening in 2018! Lee will be graduating in December of 2018. From there we have a lot of planning to do. Where is he going to work, will we need to move? All these mysteries but I'm so excited!

For now I'll leave it here. The semester is coming to an end and we get to spend time together and with our families. I can't wait to see all the love and happiness in these holiday memories.

Next post will be after the holidays to reflect on my time with family. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays <3
